Meet Dieynaba, Integrate Health’s New Managing Director

Déc 2, 2025

As Integrate Health enters an important new chapter, we are thrilled to welcome Dieynaba Thiam-Ka as our new Managing Director. She joins us at a time when health systems across West Africa face rising needs and shrinking fiscal space, and when our mission to make high-quality primary healthcare accessible to all matters more than ever. Appointing Dieynaba to this role is a strategic step in consolidating our leadership and organizational structure to face these challenges and continue to grow.

For Dieynaba, stepping into this role is far more than a professional transition. “I am driven by the conviction that equitable access to primary healthcare is not just a service, but a fundamental right tied to dignity, opportunity, and hope,” she shared.

Her background in inclusive finance, development, and cross-sector partnerships has shaped a deep belief in collaboration as the path to sustainable change. She joins Integrate Health ready to build systems that last and strengthen the organization’s role as an anchor for primary healthcare in West Africa.

A vision rooted in equity and community leadership

From her first days in the role, Dieynaba has been clear about her vision. “My vision is to make Integrate Health a catalyst for durable community health,” she explained.

She believes firmly in the strength of the organization’s model, which she describes as “health access by communities, for communities.”  This approach brings together professional Community Health Workers, strengthened clinical care, the removal of financial barriers, and digital tools that ensure continuity, equity, and patient-centeredness.

Her ambition is not only to deepen the impact of this model in Togo and Guinea, but to expand its influence across the region. That means adapting lessons from international best practices while remainingrooted in local realities and community power.

A leadership style shaped by collaboration and accountability

Colleagues working with Dieynaba will quickly recognize her distinctive leadership style. She often describes herself as the “Concierge” of Integrate Health, an image that reflects humility, service, and the commitment to opening pathways for others. “My leadership is transformational, adaptive, and collaborative, focused on accountability and transparency,” she explains.

This approach aligns seamlessly with Integrate Health’s commitment to partnership and collaboration with governments. Dieynaba sees public systems as central to sustainable scale, emphasizing the importance of supporting national policies, reinforcing local capacity, and ensuring full ownership by government partners.

She also insists on the central role of communities and local authorities, calling for community health to be integrated into local development plans, for communities’ financial autonomy to be reinforced, and for Community Health Workers to be acknowledged as pillars of a sustainable health system.

These beliefs reinforce a core principle of Integrate Health’s identity: sustainability depends on proximity, partnership, and community leadership.

Looking ahead

Dieynaba’s arrival marks an exciting and meaningful moment for Integrate Health. Her leadership strengthens the organization’s foundation—its people, systems, partnerships, and culture—while reinforcing its long-standing commitment to community-based primary healthcare.

Her focus is clear: build stronger systems, support communities to lead, and make sure that high-quality primary care actually reaches the people who need it most. With Dieynaba as Managing Director, Integrate Health is well positioned for its next phase: consolidating what works, scaling it responsibly, and growing our impact in West Africa.

We are excited to have her on board for this new chapter. Welcome, Dieynaba.
