Dr. Ousmane Telly Sow is a physician with a passion for public health, and is a dedicated professional in the field of medicine. Holder of a State Diploma in Medicine, he chose to pursue his career in the field of public health, a path that enabled him to put into practice his interest in medical information management, analysis, and monitoring-evaluation, as well as in collaborating with various partners and health structures at all levels of the health pyramid.

Dr. Telly Sow obtained his Doctorate in Medicine in March 2021 from the Kofi Annan University of Guinea. His thesis was recognized with the grade “Très Honorable,” testifying to his commitment and excellence in his studies.

His professional career took him to the Bureau de Stratégie et de Développement (BSD) at the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene in the Republic of Guinea. He worked in the National Health Information System and Research Division (SNIS), in the Statistics and Health Information Section. He was also a National Supervisor for the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, overseeing data-quality-oriented health training courses in different regions of the country.

The year 2022 was marked by Dr. Telly Sow’s active participation in the LLIN (Long-Lasting Insecticide-Treated Mosquito Net) campaign aimed at reducing malaria-related morbidity and mortality in the country. He has played a central role in data collection and analysis, as well as in monitoring and evaluation to assess the impact of the LLIN campaign on target populations in the health districts of Koundara, Forécariah and the commune of Matoto in Conakry.

In May 2023, Dr. Telly joined the NGO Santé Intégrée as a specialist in Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Improvement (SEAQ). His expertise in monitoring-evaluation, medical information management and collaboration with partners make him a valuable asset to the organization.

Dr. Ousmane Telly Sow has a wide range of skills, notably in the use of tools such as Pack Office, DHIS 2, E Sigl, KoboToolbox and R for data analysis. He is fluent in French and proficient in English. As an individual, he describes himself as sociable, meticulous, responsible, and rigorous in his work. His interests outside work include health, soccer and volunteering.
