Hope Through Health is looking for an entrepreneurial, hard-working individual to support the development efforts of our growing global health organization. This is a part-time (10-20 hours/week), unpaid internship based in our East Harlem office. The individual will work directly with the Executive Director on fundraising-related tasks. This individual will help manage HTH’s donor database, carry out research activities to identify new funding partners and assist with writing and editing of grant applications, reports and other donor correspondence. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in global health and social justice, wishing to learn more about development and non-profit operations. Possible Projects:
- Donor database management using Salesforce
- Foundation and grant research
- Donor research and briefing creation
- Grant writing
- Event planning and support
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Self-directed and organized
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Strong writing skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in social justice or global health issues
- Comfortable working in a school environment
- Currently enrolled in or have completed college
