Integrate Health’s mission is to make quality primary healthcare accessible to all. As part of a four-year expansion, the Integrated Primary Care Program will be launched in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MOH) this fall in the district of Kéran. Since August 10, the MOH and Integrate Health have been organizing training sessions for selected Community Health Workers (CHWs) in different communities of the Kéran district. After 21 days of training on the different themes of the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness program and Maternal Health program, the CHWs will be well-equipped to provide basic healthcare services to children under five years old and to refer pregnant women to health facilities for proper monitoring of their pregnancies.

In partnership with the MOH both at the national and regional levels, a total of three training sessions will be organized with the participation of about fifty CHWs supervised by five facilitators who are trained and experienced medical providers in the field. This will be done in strict compliance with COVID-19 protocols.
