Hope Through Health is excited to present to you our new Program Director: Andrew López.
Andrew received his BA in Economics in 2008 and Masters in Social Work in 2009 from Washington University in St. Louis. He served as a US Peace Corps Volunteer from 2009 to 2011 in Kadjaloua, Togo, a small village less than 20 miles from Hope Through Health’s main clinic. As a national coordinator of peer educator trainings modeled from American-style summer camps, he collaborated with Togolese counterparts to select, train and support camp counselors and campers. In another highlight of his Peace Corps service, he facilitated the creation of a rural network of microfinance institutions that provides access to credit, savings, and training to its members in northern Togo. With a love for Togolese culture, Andrew is overjoyed to be back in Togo as Hope Through Health’s Program Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, Mr. López will conduct program assessments, develop new partnerships, and facilitate monitoring and evaluation activities. His work as Program Director will inform Hope Through Health’s strategic planning and ensure a high standard of care for people living with HIV/AIDS in Togo. Please stay tuned for updates from Kara from Andrew and our other colleagues in Togo.
