New Mobile Technology Improves Access to CD4 Testing

Feb 4, 2014

Thanks to a generous donation, Hope Through Health is excited to have received a Pima mobile CD4 testing machine in Togo. This small light-weight machine, about the size of a toaster, is easy to transport allowing HTH/AED-Lidaw to bring CD4 testing to our most rural sites.

Thanks to this technology, patients will receive their results in just 20 minutes. Togo Program Director Andrew Lopez shared these pictures yesterday:

The Pima machine is also being used by our friends at Partners in Health. Check out one of their blog posts to learn more about the machine and how it improves access to quality health care: http://www.pih.org/blog/pima-cd4-analyzer-hiv.
