Afi has lived her whole life in Sarakawa and became a Community Health Worker with IH at the age of 21. When the Community Health Worker program started in Sarakawa, Afi jumped at the opportunity to bring joy and wellbeing to her community by helping women and children thrive. She has seen big changes in her community since IH’s programs began, including a significant drop in the number of fatalities and illnesses left untreated. Afi looks forward to IH’s program expanding and reaching more communities across Togo, bringing improved health and family happiness throughout her country by providing continuous medication availability, respectful and quality care, and community-based initiatives.
