Anawilwata Tchamon

Apr 9, 2024

Born in 1995 in Atakpamé in the Plateaux region, Anawilwata grew up between Atakpamé and Pangouda (Kéran district), where she is originally from. But in 2007, her family returned to settle permanently in Pangouda. In 2013, she dropped out of college. Anawilwata moved back to Atakpamé to live with her uncle, a farmer. A year later, she returned to Pangouda to get married. In October 2020, an Integrate Health team arrived in the village, looking for women with CEPD certificates to fill the position of Community Health Worker (CHW). Anawilwata applied and was selected. She left for a training course in Kara, where she had no trouble learning her new duties.
