Florence has lived in Sarakawa her whole life and became a IH Community Health Worker at the age of 19. She was originally motivated to help children and pregnant women to create change in her community by improving the health of those around her. She enjoys active case-finding, where she gets to seek out sick children and pregnant women in her community and provide them with care and support when they need it most. She has seen significant changes in her community and takes pride in her part in creating happier families and decreasing maternal and child mortality in Sarakawa. Florence looks forward to continuing her work with IH and seeing the ongoing success of the program.
