Assossimna Tchambakou

Jun 7, 2019

Assossimna became a Community Health Worker to support her family and community and uses her shared experiences as a mother to better educate women in her community about prenatal and infant care. Since joining IH in 2018, she has seen immediate progress since the program launched in Koundoum, where villagers often lived far from the local clinic and lacked finances to find transportation and pay for services. Now the rate of mortality has dropped, and women value the need to seek professional medical attention and give birth at the maternity clinic.
