Working as farmer before being recruited as a Community Health Worker in 2018, Ayaa frequently saw the women in her community unable to seek prenatal care due to lack of finances and education about their own reproductive health. Thanks to her training with Integrate Health, she is able to consult families in their households about key ways to take preventative measures in their personal health and how to recognize danger signs that require further medical attention. Ayaa is inspired by her work and hopes to play a part in increasing the health standards of her rural community.
