Like many of her CHW peers, Bikayi’s journey has been one of obstacles and rebirth. Born in Kpamboua (Dankpen), the young woman dropped out of high school to get married. In 2019, she and her husband moved to the village of Bomblido in Manga, where the couple make their living from farming. It was there that Bikayi heard about Integrate Health. The NGO was looking for a replacement CHW. She applied and was accepted. This was followed by training and a two-month internship at the Manga health center. She started in 2020.
