Living with HIV, Elise attests that Integrate Health and AED-Lidaw saved her life, which fuels her indefatigable motivation to continue the fight to improve healthcare in Togo. In 2004, Elise volunteered to manage IH’s procurement of the first antiretroviral medications provided outside of Togo’s capital city. Elise, who grew up with a straw roof over her head, has managed over $1.3 million in IH funding since that first round of ARVs arrived. Elise is an amazing example of the potential that can be unlocked through investment in local capacity building and looks forward to seeing IH’s expansion bring opportunities to more communities in Togo.
