Essossolim is a housewife in her community of Sirka where she lives with her husband and helps him with his farming activities. She decided to apply to be trained as a CHW to work in her community to help reduce the high rate of preventable deaths of children under five and pregnant women. Essossolim’s ambition with this new CHW status is to change her, her family’s, and her community’s living conditions.
