Before joining the IH team as a Community Health Worker in Manga, Koffi worked as a farmer after leaving school. She chose to become a Community Health Worker because she wanted to help her community by caring for vulnerable children and women. The villages she works in are far from their local clinic, so having the capacity to bring services directly to households is incredibly effective. She is a mother, and her work not only helps her family financially, but allows her to use her experiences to help other women make educated decisions about family planning, prenatal plans, and their family’s health.
