Kossia was eager to join Integrate Health because of high rates of maternal and child mortality from preventable illnesses that she witnessed in her community. With her training as a Community Health Worker, she can now help educate women who often experienced complications during their pregnancies and didn’t pursue prenatal consultations due to lack of funds. She strongly believes in the importance of family planning and strives to educate young girls so that they too can work towards the advancement of their communities without being pulled back by unwanted pregnancies.
