Mabadina Romaine Tangboa

Apr 18, 2018

Romaine has spent her whole life in Adabawéré and has spent many years working in her community. She first volunteered as a community medication distributor for ten years for polio and neglected tropical diseases and conducted community education sessions on meningitis. She initially worked for IH as a replacement Community Health Worker before joining full-time. Romaine has learned a lot about herself and her community through working as a Community Health Worker and enjoys empowering others to take charge of their health. She has seen many changes in the health status of children and pregnant women, particularly in the way children are no longer treated at home. Instead, their parents seek out professional care from a Community Health Worker or clinic-based staff. She maintains a positive attitude and keeps pushing herself to be courageous in the face of challenges and keep improving the health of her community.
