Mamady II NABE, born on October 24, 1978 in Conakry, Guinea, has dedicated his career to improving public health in his home country. Holder of a Doctorate in Medicine and a Master 2 in Public Health with a specialization in Community Health, both obtained at the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry (UGANC), Mamady has built up a solid and respected expertise in the healthcare field.

Since July 2024, Mamady has joined the Integrate Health team as BIRCH Project Manager. This new adventure is a natural continuation of his career path, rich in varied experience and first-rate responsibilities.

Prior to joining Integrate Health, Mamady held the position of Project Manager Community Health Specialist at Catholic Relief Services (CRS) since 2019. In this role, he provided crucial support to the Direction Nationale de la Santé Communautaire et de la Médecine Traditionnelle (DNSCMT), harmonizing and aligning partners’ interventions with the new community health strategy. He also played a key role in the development and revision of normative documents, in collaboration with the DNSCMT, the Inspections Régionales de Santé (IRS), and the Directions Préfectorales de Santé (DPS).

Mamady has put in place sustainable mechanisms to ensure the loyalty of Community Relays (RECOs) and Community Health Workers (CHWs), while providing them with essential inputs. It has also developed a database of local, national and international partners involved in community health, to mobilize the resources needed to finance this vital sector.

His expertise doesn’t stop there. Mamady supported the DNSCMT in organizing the national multi-sectoral coordination platform for community health, and oversaw the selection and recruitment process for RECOs and CHWs. He provided training for trainers, RECOs and CHWs on the integrated community health package, and documented and disseminated best practices on the implementation of this strategy at national and operational level.

In addition, Mamady ensured the quality of community health training and interventions, including malaria control, and supported the operationalization of the ICT4D project, contributing to the improvement of health systems in several regions of Guinea.

With his many years of experience, Mamady II Nabe brings to Integrate Health a wealth of knowledge and an unwavering passion for community health. His commitment and dedication promise to further strengthen public health initiatives and make a tangible difference to the lives of the communities he serves.
