Maryama is a NYC native with a background in public health and development. Maryama enjoys learning about ways to leverage digital health tools to improve health programs in Francophone West Africa. Her research interests also include adolescent health and well-being and maternal and child health in Francophone West Africa. Maryama has previously worked with the Population Council supporting a multi-country adolescent health program in the Sahel region as well as with Amref Health Africa’s development team. She received her Master of Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College (Geography modified Arabic major).
