Mekawa was a soybean vendor who, despite her activity, felt the need to help her community access quality healthcare. Mekawa’s ambition became a reality when she was selected and trained to provide healthcare to the children and pregnant women of her community. Mekawa proudly wears her CHW title in her community and now spends her days providing healthcare to her community.
