Better known as “Rose,” she was born and raised in Nawaré (Dankpen district). She completed her primary education at the local public school. In 2008, she moved to Guérin-Kouka (Dankpen district) for secondary school. She obtained her secondary school cycle certificate in 2015. But tragedy was to stop her momentum. While in second grade, she was violently hit by a motorcycle on a country road. She spent two years in hospital. After several months of rehabilitation, she was able to walk again. But she never went back to school, having lost her motivation. She stayed with her father and helped him with the work in the fields. With the prospect of a better future in mind, she went on an adventure to Burkina Faso in 2017. She didn’t like it there and returned home the same year. But she settled in Manga (Bassar district). In 2018, the Integrated Health Primary Care Program arrived in the village. The NGO was looking for women to work as Community Health Workers (CHWs). Rose applied and passed the test. Selected, she took part in the training course in Kara. This was followed by an advanced training course at the Manga health center.
