After having stopped her studies in high school, Pihènawé turned to sewing. She was able to support her family with this activity as well as with her rural activities. She decided to apply to be trained as a CHW in order to change her living condition and also to allow her to offer quality healthcare to the people of her community and thus help decrease the very high death rate among children under five, pregnant women, and post-partum women.
