Sarakawahalo Awiliwa

Jun 7, 2019

Sarakawahalo has worked with IH as a Community Health Worker since 2018, when she joined to address infant and maternal mortality within her community. She is insistent that all women should have access to family planning in order to space out pregnancies on their own schedule and so that their families can provide all of the necessary care to their children by being on top of their finances. The sooner she is able to consult women, the sooner they will seek prenatal care, which helps promote safe and healthy pregnancies. She is proud to see improved health literacy within the households with which she works  and hopes that this increases as she continues to make an impact as a Community Health Worker in Manga!
