Rebecca has lived in Kpindi since 2011 and joined IH’s team as a Community Health Worker in 2015. Leaving behind her job as a seamstress, Rebecca became a Community Health Worker due to her love and passion for educating community members on maternal and child health topics. Rebecca takes pride in her work, as she can now better care for herself and her family, as well as for the community that has been her home since 2011. She is inspired to work hard daily to decrease deaths in her community, as well as encourage a decrease in home births. The program has allowed families to save money and invest it elsewhere, providing a boost for her community, and Rebecca looks forward to many more years of an IH-Kpindi partnership.
