Apr 18, 2018

Originally from the village of Lesio, Yvonne has lived in Adabawéré since 1994 and has served as a Community Health Worker for the Adabawéré health center for many years. Primarily a farmer, she was motivated by the struggles she had to go through every day to join the IH Community Health Worker team. She is proud of how much she has learned from IH and how she can help women protect themselves and their families. Yvonne credits IH with saving the lives of children in her community by helping them pay for and access lifesaving healthcare. Successes of her work as a Community Health Worker can also be seen in the adoption and understanding of family planning within her community. Driven by her life goal of helping struggling families, Yvonne looks forward to many more years of serving her community as a Community Health Worker.
