Yendoupabe wore many hats and played many roles in her community before becoming an Integrate Health CHW. She was a volunteer kindergarten teacher at her village elementary school, a Red Cross Mothers’ Club leader, a first aid worker, a hairdresser, and finally a Mothers’ Club trainer. Following in her footsteps as a first aid worker, Yendoupabe wanted to become a CHW in order to help her community ensure that 95% of its population had access to health care. Through her current training and work as a CHW, Yendoupabe hopes to achieve her goal of getting the people of her community to adhere to the health care measures necessary for their well-being.
