This past weekend, March 28-29, was Unite for Sight’s annual Global Health and Innovation Conference, the world’s leading and largest global health conference. Each year, over 2200 participants from over 55 countries come together to exchange ideas and best practices in global health and development. Participants come from all disciplines and include students, nurses, doctors, policy-makers, nonprofit directors and volunteers, public health professionals, health educators, community health workers, researchers, social scientists, social workers, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, teachers, lawyers, and business executives. This year, themes included social impact investing, health systems strengthening, and maternal and child health, among many others.
